Educate.

The methods I use are evidence based, interactive and ultimately aim to cultivate new attitudes towards learning. My objective is to equip young learners with the means of not only getting the grades they need. I also aim at teaching them crucial learning tools and techniques that they can apply further on in school, university and life.

Engage.

“If you are interested in something, you will focus on it, and if you focus attention on anything, it is likely that you will become interested in it. Many of the things we find interesting are not so by nature, but because we took the trouble of paying attention to them.”
Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi (Flow, 1990)

By encouraging focus and attention, I believe that studying can be changed from a boring, monotonous task into something young learners can enjoy.

Enjoy.

By changing the task of studying for exams into a fun challenge, students will be more engaged during and between lessons reducing the anxiety associated with the undertaking and ultimately saving time and improving performance.

Why BrilliantThinker?

Having finished high school in 2018, I am familiar with the SQA’s curriculum for excellence as well as with the demands of university. I myself, am therefore astutely aware of the amount of pressure and angst associated with getting those all important grades. I feel that I am experienced, motivated and moreover passionate about helping learners across the country maximise their potential while curbing the stress so many experience when taking on their final exams.

Learn Online at Your own Pace

I understand that every learner is unique. Having had experience at tutoring learners at a range of different levels, I know that keeping the pace challenging but not overwhelming is crucial to generate successful outcomes. ‘Slow is smooth, smooth is fast’.

Structured Approach

I have reviewed the curriculum of all the subjects I offer and have structured lessons accordingly. Breaking each subject down into its three units, with each unit allocated a set number of lessons based on how long it would take to teach. The nature of one-to-one means that the numbers may vary slightly between students.
